"Forty-seven REC Alpha panels in a 6×8 portrait array. The homeowners watched the utility meter reverse direction before we loaded the ladders."

Field Notes

Ridge vent reroute, 6/12 pitch, balloon-framed attic — resolved with low-profile L-foot standoffs and a single penetration sleeve.

"Microinverter system on Spanish tile. Each IQ8M pairs one-to-one with a panel — shade from the chimney stack no longer affects the whole array."

Field Notes

Tile roof — Spanish S-tile. Required Ecofasten Rock-It tile hooks and a custom flashing kit to maintain water-tightness at 4/12 pitch.

The Reluctant Convert

A retired teacher's $340/month summer bill — and what happened when she called us.

Patricia had been watching her summer bills climb for seven years. She called three contractors before us. Two didn't show up for the site assessment. We were on her roof within 48 hours of her first call, structural plan in hand.

Twenty-six panels, south-facing, 7.8 kW. First full billing cycle: $14.82 net — down from $341. She mailed us a copy of the bill.

"I kept the bill. It says $14.82. I've framed it."

The GC Who Needed a Sub by Monday

A structural plan arrived Friday at 4 PM. Crew was on-site Monday at 6 AM.

Ryan, the GC on a Tempe mixed-use development, had a framing window closing Tuesday. His solar sub had pulled out. He found us through a referral at 4:07 PM on a Friday.

We reviewed the structural drawings that night, submitted the permit application Saturday morning, and had crew staged at 5:45 AM Monday. Final inspection passed first try.

"I've worked with a lot of subs. These guys read the plan and showed up. That's it. That's the whole story."

Four Rooftops. One Community.

A mixed-use development that needed 312 kW, three GCs, and zero schedule conflicts.

The Chandler Community Solar project spanned four separate rooftop arrays across a mixed-use development. Three general contractors, two structural engineers, and the City of Chandler utility all had to sign off on a single interconnection agreement.

780 panels, 312 kW, 494,000 kWh annually. The development achieved 100% renewable offset and LEED Platinum certification. Tyler coordinated all four crews without a single scheduling conflict across 18 working days.

"We'd never attempted a multi-building NEM agreement at this scale. SolarRoofs had done it before. That made all the difference."
